Irrespective of all herbal medicine and drugs on the market, noni is the best on the market. This is according to Madam Grace Danso Asantewaa, a noni farmer at Akrade in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern Region. She was speaking in an interview on the Rite Morning Ride when she made the point that noni is the best herbal medicine to focus on.
She was elaborate about the health benefits which she listed as its ability to cure diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, boosting of the human immune system among others. This is why she advised and encouraged farmers to also consider the option of delving into the cultivation of noni.
That’s not all; she further cited uses of the leaves which she said are used for the manufacturing of variety of products such as soap, drinks, pomade among others which according to her was of the highest indication that noni was of high benefit.
Meanwhile she added that despite all the benefit they also have some challenges such as pests acting as parasites on the plants and others and therefore appealed to the authorities to come to their aid.
