Capital And Education Can Boost Soya Beans Production

A Soya beans farmer based in the Northern region of the country, Mr.Sampson  Atowoyiri has advised potential soya beans farmers to adequately resource themselves before venturing into soya beans farming. This according to him is to be in the right position to face any possible financial demands that may crop up during the course of the production.

But that is not all. According to Mr. Atowoyiri who was speaking on the Rite Morning Ride, farmers with the prospects and ambitions of taking a bite in the field of soya bean production could also avail themselves for education which can help the farmers to plan well before engaging in soya beans cultivation.

Giving an insight into the production of soya beans, he explained that to cultivate beans, one needs a flat land and which is not either hilly water logged but which can supply the plant to stand up to face the season whether there is heavy rain or not. He said farmers with foreknowledge in soya beans production should know when to engage in weeding and spraying which all form part of the education that a farmer needs to enter into soya beans cultivation.

He added that just as any other crop farming, there are a lot of challenges that confront soya beans farmers. He said the poor rainfall affected them which led to the decline in the soya beans cultivation. Additionally, they did not get any help from government or (NGOs).

Mr. Atowoyiri meanwhile chastised weather forecasters for ‘deceiving’ them last year and vowed not to have faith in their forecasts anymore.
