Cameroon sold 22,000 tons of bananas in Feb 2019

Cameroonian exporters shipped a total of 21,497 tons of bananas in February 2019, says fruit association Assobacam. Figures are also up 2,745 tons compared to the 18,752 tons exported in the same period in 2018.

Of the volume, the local unit of Compagnie Fruitière de Marseille -Plantations du haut Penja – shipped 19,737 tons (14,634 tons in Feb 2018) up 7 tons compared to Jan 2019.

Both Plantations shipped 1,760 tons (647 tons in Feb 2018), down 7 tons compared to the 1,767 tons in Jan 2019. The public company CDC is still off the market due to the ongoing crisis in the southwest where the company owns plantations.
