Best Teachers Award Ceremony to Be Held In Yilo Krobo

By Ivy Agbozo and Prince Paul Amuzu:

The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service- Yilo Krobo, Solomon Sackitey has disclosed in an interview with Krobea Asante on the Rite Morning Ride that the district would soon host its first teacher’s award on October 5th, 2017.

According to him, a special committee has been set up with the consent of the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly to make adequate plans for the program, adding that the assembly is committed to funding the commit funds for the program.

Mr. Sackitey was also hopeful that the event would come in spite of the fact that the assembly included it in its budget unlike in previous years when that was not the case, despite the fact that the Central government is not going to support.

‘The district has budgeted for the award ceremony to make it materialize this year unlike what used to be the case in the previous years.  We are also looking forward to receiving the appropriate funds to sponsor the programme although government has not released money which would cater for this project,’ he added

According to him, the venue for the ceremony is being worked on and committees have been erected with support from the Municipal Assembly to make sure that the ceremony materializes.

Teachers eligible for the award include Kg, Primary, JHS and SHS teachers as well as private school teachers who meet the set criteria.
