Most farmers who called during the Akuafo Se sen segment of the Morning Show on Monday hosted by Captain Adabuga lamented over various challenges they encountered as farmers in their respective areas.
According to them, farming is a very tedious activity which needs a lot of attention.
Farmers in the Upper Manya District are noted for their gari processing activities but are still saddled with challenges with the non-availability of a ready market for their produce.
The farmers used the platform to encourage the youth to take up farming since it’s a gainful means of employment but appealed to stakeholders to lease lands to motivate the youth who have interest in the sector.
They therefore called for assistance on accessing tractor services to ensure efficiency in their output since the absence of such equipment make work very difficult.
