Atebubu Police Get Tough On Fulani Herdsmen
The Atebubu Amatin Divisional Police Command has embarked on a serious operation to flash out Fulani herdsmen who have been chased out of Agogo and now trying to resettle in some farming communities within Atebubu/Amantin district in the Brong Ahafo Region. The operations took place within two communities which are Warro and Seneso.
According to the Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Joseph Dzinaku, ten Fulani herdsmen have been arrested during the operation because they allegedly illegally possessed guns and other dangerous weapons such as sharp cutlasses and over 13 mobile phones.
The assembly man for the area, hon. Asiamah Joseph, also complained about the problems they were facing since the Fulani herdsmen came to their area.
