The residents of Adjena, Anyanse, Sedorm, Loveroff Junction, Marine and its environs at Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region after many years of expressing displeasure about the deplorable state of their roads will soon be relieved since the main road connecting these towns will soon be seeing a face lift.

The contract which has been awarded to Joshop Construction Limited by the Government of Ghana is to construct a 24.5 kms road from Marine to Loveroff Junction to enhance movement and to ease transportation.

The District Chief Executive of Asuogyaman, while inspecting the road said, the road networks at Asuogyaman have been in deplorable states since time immemorial. But they are poised to construct these roads to link the villages which will also enable farmers convey their farm produce to various markets with ease.

Hon Samuel Kwame Agyakum further urged the construction firm Joshop Construction Limited to speed up the construction process and also ensure quality work is done to suit the standard required.

Residents of Adjena lauded the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for his efforts towards the development of the country and also appealed to the contractor to speed up with the work.

“ we are appealing to the contractor to make sure he meets the timeline by which the contract was awarded, we see how some contractors do shoddy work so we are asking the contractor to make the roads meet the standards required” they pleaded.

Meanwhile the Site Engineer, Benedict Boakye assured the DCE and the residents that their outfit will ensure quality work but also called on them to be patient because of the rainy season.
