Appietus Urges Musicians to Change Their Style of Music to Suit Current Trends.

Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, a Ghanaian actor, musician, music producer and sound engineer is urging veteran musicians to adopt the current style of music to fit in the current system of using digital means of music rather than using cassettes and disks which is outmoded.

Appietus said this in an interview with PAPA ATTITUDE on the Rite Chart Show in reaction to claims made by veteran highlife artiste that producers have neglected the veteran musicians in the country.

“I think the veteran musicians should change their style of music to suit the current system because everything is getting digital and the use of disc and cassette is old-fashion.’ Apietus stated.

Referring to modern trends of pen drive use and internet downloading as the way to go, he questioned why some veteran musicians still resort to mixing their old songs to suit the current system.

‘Therefore, if you are an old artiste and you don’t change your style to suit the trend now, no one will like to produce you, he said.

He noted that young artistes are making good songs that both the young and old find desirable and therefore impressed upon the old artistes to refrain from the “old style’ to guarantee their securing of an executive producer, since everybody is working for money and no one will invest in something that will not sell.
