Akorley to have electricity, clinic soon

The Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly, Hon Andres Soda has noted that the assembly has award a contract for the rural electrification project and clinic for the people of Akorley.

According to him, the projects founded by Government of Ghana will soon commence to provide electricity and clinic to the people in the area.

Speaking to Rite FM News at a meeting with the people in Akorley community, Hon Soda said the assembly is working hard to make sure that all the communities in the district which do not have access to electricity and quality health care, will soon be put on the assembly’s list.

He therefore advise the people to cooperate with the contractors who will be undertaking this projects, adding that, it will provide jobs to the youth in the community.

The people of Akorley have demonstrated several times, especially during elections about not having access to electricity in the community. They demonstrated on a slogan; No Light No Vote.

After the meeting, Rite News spoke to some resident and they said, they are very happy that government has remembered the problem of accessing electricity in the community.
