A worried farmer who prefers to remain anonymous has complained bitterly to Rite news about the impropriety and corrupt behavior of some officials involved in the distribution of fertilizer. According to him, some officials in charge of subsidies and fertilizer programme in the Ahafo-Ano South District of the Brong Ahafo region are collecting money from the farmers before giving out the fertilizers, something that should not be the case.
The aggrieved complainant revealed that government has ordered the officials to distribute the fertilizers to the farmers free of charge but officials responsible for the distribution are taking money from them illegally.
Rite news will follow up and investigate the truth or otherwise of these allegations.
