AGRIC Directors Upbeat about RAF 2018

Agric directors in the participating districts for the Rite FM Agric Forum are highly expectant of the upcoming, 2018 event.

The event slated for the Ensign College Of Public Health at Kpong in the Eastern region will bring together hundreds of farmers and various stakeholders.

Themed on ‘The Role of Technology in Improving Agricultural Productivity and Livelihoods,’ the program aims at producing a conducive environment for stakeholders and farmers to interact, share ideas and chart a way forward for the agric sector.

Agricultural Director for the Asuogyaman District, one of several agric directors directly involved in and highly excited about the forum and has been speaking on the Rite Morning Show ahead of the event.

Mr. David Dokli said Rite FM deserves tons of gratitude for organizing the Agric Forum to mobilize agric improvement in the country.

Mr. Dokli who reminisced about RAF 2017, eulogized the event.

To him, bringing together the various stakeholders involved in and playing vital roles in the sector to train and coach farmers on various topics excited him.

“I’m particularly happy that Rite FM brought together stakeholders in the Agric value chain including professionals and experts who educated the farmers on agronomy, marketing, chemical application and the rest through power point presentations to address their pertinent and numerous challenges,” he said.

He recounted the ‘one district, one RAF’ event organized by the station which in his estimation contributed in enhancing food security in local districts.

“Rite FM is really doing very well to enhance food sustainability and security through its one district, one Agric Forum,” Mr. Dokli told Captain Adabugar on the Akuafo Sesen segment of the Rite Morning Ride.

Expectations

The Asuogyaman Agric Director while hoping to see various stakeholders he met during previous RAFs at this year’s program, encouraged Farmer Based Organizations and individual farmers to endeavor to register for the upcoming RAF ‘for their own good.’

Rite FM as sequence to the event held similar forums in three districts including Shai Osudoku, Asuogyaman and Yilo Krobo.
