It appears as though victims of the DKM micro finance scam that rocked the Brong Ahafo region will continue to lick their wounds for a while. But victims do not only include traders and other workers; some farmers were also affected and they just like others are complaining about how the DKM microfinance misused their money for their own gains instead of the good of those who deposited the huge sums.
Mr. Ibrahim Misa, 2015 Brong Ahafo regional best farmer has revealed this on the Rite Morning Ride. According to him, many farmers in the district also fell victim to the scam as they lost varying amounts to DKM. This he said has affected a lot of farmers since many of them lost their capitals.
He added that most of the affected farmers are so frustrated with their farming activities in the face of the development as they do not even have the money to purchase fertilizer and other inputs for their farming activities.
Despite the problem however, he is confident that the affected farmers will continue to be put in their best though he calls for some government assistance.
