Ghana’s capital Accra has been flooded following over five hours of heavy downpour which left several residents trapped indoors.
The rains which began around 4am Tuesday made it practically impossible for several school children to make it to school. Others also got to school late.
Workers without cars were also trapped at home until the rains subsided around 10am. Several homes in many parts of the capital were also flooded. A primary school girl has reportedly drowned at Dansoman.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police Muhammed Alhassan is touring some flooded Police barracks.
