Mr. Charles Adubofuor speaking to Rite FM earlier on Friday at a site visit to Otopkorlu to brief stakeholders about the project assured residents and the general public there was going to be quality work since Broad Consult, a firm responsible to supervise the work is capable enough to do effective supervision.

For the rainy season, the main bridge work on the river shall begin later while 50m distance away from the bridge road network starts immediately.
The bridge will come with a cement block work erected from within the river with steel metal covering the top for vehicular passageway and a two-lane walk-way. It will be higher than the current bridge.
“The good thing about this project is that the contractor is being giving reinforcement and cement while the JCL pays for labor cost. This just to keep the price down and help them mobilize faster,” Mr. Michael Okaine to the media when JCL’s representative Mr. Emmanuel Owusu Ansah was asked to expedite action to meet the timeline.
The contractor is tasked to engineer the adjoining links of the bridge from and to Odumase and Oterkporlu township respectively.
Even though there is a contract sum, the consultant Mr. Michael Okaine declined response to a question regarding how much the work will cost the tax payer.
In a related development, a bring in Okwenya also in the Yilo Krobo Municipality is also under reconstruction by a different constructing firm, Asabea Engineering Limited.
