2-unit KG Block and Toilet Facility Constructed For Oborpah Djikiti M/A School.

A 2-Unit KG block with ancillary facilities and a 6-Seater toilet facility for Oborpah Djikiti M/A School constructed by Pencil of Promise, a Non-governmental organization in partnership with Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly under the able leadership of Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh had been commissioned yesterday in a joyful ceremony.

All these important projects which brought a great relief to the natives of the area due to the dilapidated nature of their old classroom block for the KG has attracted the efforts of the entire Oborpah Djikiti citizens as well as their surrounding neighbors to work actively to see this beautiful building completed for their children.

Hon. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey, Deputy Eastern Regional Minister was the special guest of honor at the commissioning ceremony yesterday as he applauded the efforts of the NOG, Pencil of Promise, the Community members and Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh for effective partnership with the NGO which has seen 3 classroom blocks completed and handed over within his 2 years stay in office.

The Country Director of Pencil of Promise, Mr. Freeman Gobah in his address also applauded the great partnership and leadership styles exhibited by the Hon. MCE which has led to successful completion of 3 classroom blocks within the shortest possible time. He also announced to the gathering the intention of the NGO to adopt all the schools that they have partnered to construct in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality unto their teacher support programs and Library in the Box initiatives which aims at improving teaching and learning standards in the area.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his brief speech expressed his heart felt appreciation to Pencil of Promise and all their donors for supporting his Municipality as he look forward for this great partnership between his Municipality under his leadership and the NGO to be able to help reduce the classroom under trees challenge in his Municipality.
