For the third week in April, tomato recorded the highest gain in price.
According to Esoko Ghana, the price of the commodity, gained 8 percent to close the week at 8 cedis 20 pesewas for a medium size tomato tin.
This was followed by cassava whose price increased by 5 percent to close the week at 7 cedis 40 pesewas for 3 to four tubers.
Gari and millet also gained 2 percent each for the third week in April.
Both closed the week at 5 cedis and 5 cedis 50 pesewas per medium size tin respectively.
Groundnut also gained a percentage point to close the week at 13 cedis 90 pesewas per medium size tin.
The prices of cowpea, yam and soybean however reduced by 1 and 2 percent respectively in the third week in April.
Checks by Esoko across the various markets also showed that a medium size tomato tin of tomatoes gained 28 percent in Accra to close the week at 10 cedis 20 pesewas.
In Tamale, the commodity gained 11 percent to close the week at 6 cedis.
It gained 9 and 3 percent in Kumasi and Takoradi to close the week at 8 cedis 50 pesewas and 15 cedis 50 pesewas respectively.
