RESISTING TEMPTATIONS FROM WOMEN MAKES ME A MAN – GASMILLA

Telemo hit maker Joseph Odartey Lamptey popularly known in showbiz circles as Gasmilla has shown his love for the career and his view about the music industry as a whole.

In an interview with him on Kwanso Anigye on Rite fm with Papa  Attitude, the famed musician said he completed  Institute of Professional Studies [IPS] but did not further his education due to his love for music and therefore decided to do full time music.

In the interview he said December this year marks his fourth year in professional music. He said though he has no album, he has dropped 21 singles which can give him about 3 albums. He said he got his popularity from one of his tracks,     which also fetched him a lot of money.

He further stated that as a very talented musician he is not looking up to anyone in the local music industry for inspiration but rather looking up to himself. He said he is not afraid of any musician engaging him in a competition. On the international scale however, he revealed that he is looking up to one artist, Jay Z who has combined both music and business. He described himself as the most versatile artist to have ever walked on the surface of the planet earth.

In addition, he said being a popular artist, he encounters a lot of temptations from friends and women alike but how he overcomes those temptations is what makes him a man.

Talking about his latest track TELEMO, he said that song has elements that helps every individual to forget any trouble one is going through. He said it’s his dream as a young artist to produce timeless music which will all the time attract more ears. He said many are those saying TELEMO is politically motivated but he denied that rumor.

On his views about the music industry, he disagrees with the perception that there is no money in it.

Talking about his style he said he may not be a saint but his qualities are more.

He said he’s still single and have dedicated all his time and efforts to his career, adding to that, he said God’s time is the best. He therefore advised the upcoming artistes to be more determined and focused and the sky will be their limit.
