The Deputy Communication Director of the Yilo Krobo NDC caucus, Isaac Tetteh Djaba was this morning found dead in a river at Okwenya near Somanya. The scene description indicates that he was riding a Motor Bike.
His mortal remain was found drowned in the river with his motto Bike and helmet. As to what caused his death is yet to be established by the police, but his body has since been deposited at the Atua Government Hospital in the Lower Manya District, awaiting autopsy.
He is believed to have ridden into the ditch, which was created as a result of an ongoing road construction along the Akuse- Somanya road.
Confirming the incident to Rite news, the Somanya police commander, deputy superintendent of police Albert Delatsa said “investigation is still ongoing and the body will soon be sent to Korle-Bu for post-mortem examinations. Investigating they have done so far establishes accident he added
All though he didn’t confirm the under- construction road as a cause of the accident, he cautioned commuters of the road to be cautious when plying that road, since it is still under construction.
