The ministry of youth and sports Dr Mustapha Ahmed says the ministry and the GFA sympathize with the family and wife of the late Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio who passed away on Tuesday 12TH May 2015 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Dr Mustapha Ahmed , minister of youth and sports, Kwasi Nyantakyi Ghana football association President and Mr George Afriyie black Stars Management Committee Chairman yesterday paid a courtesy call the late Jones Attuquayefio ‘s house to sympathize with the wife and family.
However George Afriyie, Black stars management committee chairman says if you want to know a Ghanaian coach who has distinguished himself well then you can’t leave out Jones Attuquayefio.
He further stressed that Ghana as a Nation we should try to honor the living not the dead.
If we were able to honor him whiles he was alive he wouldn’t have gone so soon, said George Afriyie.
