The failed NPP Parliamentary aspirant for the Yilo Krobo constituency in the 2016 elections, Mr. Francis Djetse Apertey has sent his congratulatory message to Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, the newly nominated MCE for Yilo Krobo.
The Mr. Djetse who was also under consideration for the same position explained to host of the Rite Morning Ride, Krobea Asante on Thursday that his call was intended to foster unity for the progress of the party and also called on his supporters to accept the president’s choice in the interest of the development of the municipality.
‘Unity is superior at this crucial time and I’m calling on all my supporters to remain calm and avoid engaging in any disturbances or demonstrations against the president’s nomination that can mar the peace,’ Mr. Djetse asserted.
Mixed reactions greeted President Akuffo Addo’s choice of a school headmaster, Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, who beat three other contenders for the position, as his preference of a nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive for Yilo Krobo. While sections of the party faithful applauded the choice of Mr. Kupualor, another side, said to be followers of the twice defeated parliamentary aspirant still harbor reservations.
The uncertainty has forced Mr. Apertey to call on the Municipal Police Commander, not to grant any permit to any group that intend staging any demonstration, either in his support or against the president’s nominee.
YOUTH WING
Meanwhile, the constituency Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party in the Yilo Krobo constituency has expressed its overwhelming support for the nomination of Mr. Tetteh Ebenezer Kupualor as MCE of the area.
The group which expressed their support at a press conference on Wednesday congratulated Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor on his nomination as MCE designate by HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, adding that ‘the announcement of his nomination was received with wide excitement across the constituency.’
The youth wing described Mr. Kupualor as one of the standing blocks behind the success of the party in the constituency and has been a key pillar in the sustained success and progress of the party in the Yilo Krobo constituency over the years.
The youth who reposed their confidence in the nominee’s appointment, described it as perfect ‘since he understands the developmental issues on the ground.’

The Constituency Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party of the Yilo Krobo Constituency wish to congratulate Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor on his nomination as the Municipal Chief Executive by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
He has been a key pillar in our sustained success and progress as a party in the Yilo Krobo Constituency over the years. The announcement of his nomination was received with wide excitement across the constituency.
Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor is a consummate, experienced, affable and down to earth politician who is liked by the youth, women and even members of the opposition parties.
His deep understanding of politics and developmental issues of the constituency makes his nomination a perfect one. He is the peoples’ man and we see his nomination as timely. He has the soft skills and tact to lead the process of mending differences in our party at the local level.
