On January 05, 2016 Mr. Atto Worlanyo Anthony, the head of Rural Enterprise unit at Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly encouraged Farmers to be determined and passionate about having a small beginning during the Rite 90.1 FM Feed the Future Platform discussion on the subject “ Growing agribusiness without Loans”

Mr. Atto Worlanyo said whenever he goes to train people on vocational careers he always make it known to them that, there is a need to start small.

According to Mr. Atto there is no need to go in for loan before starting a business. He explained this accession with an instance where a young and determined agribusiness person, buys five mushroom bags to begin the cultivation of mushroom in the mushroom industry, he/she is set to make 100% profit in three months which tells how viable the agribusiness sector is. Determination and passion, coupled with good managerial skills will grow that small beginning into a larger one in the future.

He further encouraged the youth to take up to farming which is one of the vibrant economic sector one can think about presently.

Mr. Atto lamented that present youth are running away from money while they all prefer to follow white color jobs in the cities which is not worth paying of late. He said “I always advice the youth to stop shunning away from agriculture in Ghana”.
