The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, will pay a one-day working visit to Ghana today.
President John Dramani Mahama will welcome his West African neighbor at the Golden Jubilee Lounge.
Mahama and Buhari are expected to cement the long-standing relationship between Ghana and Nigeria as well as discuss security issues, trade and other issues of common interest to both countries.
President Buhari is also expected to meet members of the Nigerian community in Ghana
Buhari, a former Nigerian army general who fist won power three decades ago in military coup, snatched a historic presidential election victory over rival Goodluck Jonathan in March.
He becomes the first opposition leader to beat an incumbent president in Nigeria.
