Story by: Richard Dankwa

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has assured cocoa farmers that he would revive agricultural incentive programs such as the mass cocoa spraying which is part subsidizing the fertilizer needs of the agriculture sector in the country, should he be voted into office in the upcoming elections.

According to Nana Addo, all of these government support programs are in place to help farmers in the country. According to him, it is rather unfortunate that the current NDC government has through its actions and inactions consistently and gradually collapsed the sector.

Nana akuffo Addo made this known last Saturday when he addressed residents of Nkrankwanta and Diaba, both in the Dormaa West Constituency in the Brong Ahafo region. He further assured Ghanaians that he would also revive the National Health Insurance Scheme if voted into office in this year’s elections.

He noted that, it has been painful watching the NDC government over the last seven years do its best to collapse the NHIS.

Nana addo also promised farmers in the area about the idea of the fire S.H.S stating that the NPP still have the plans to implement it if voted into power.
