I Will Create Special Boards For Various Crops – UFP Leader

By Austin Ofori Addo:

Founder of the United Front Party, Mr Agyenim Boateng has indicated to Rite news his desire to set up special boards to run the production of various crops in the country. According to the UFP founder, he would ensure these should he be voted into power in the November polls as a positive step towards boosting the agriculture sector in the country.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng who was confident of victory in the upcoming 2016 elections was worried that these special boards did not exist to take care of the production of the various food crops in the country. According to him, the only crop that has such a board in place is cocoa production which is blessed to have cocobod, adding that there is no other board that manages the various crops.

This according to him is what informs his desire and preparedness to establish boards on various crops such as mango, yam, cassava, maize, and even pepper among others, if he becomes president.

Comparing the Ghanaian situation to elsewhere, the presidential candidate noted that in a country like China, corn oil is the most expensive oil in that country and that producing it in commercial quantities in Ghana will help improve the sector.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng noted that farmers under his tenure of office will be better off, even better of than most of their counterparts in the trading business.
