Hearts management to investigate leaked tape on players

Rite Sports can exclusively reveal that, the management of Accra Hearts of Oak says it has begun investigations into a leaked tape on a conversation between some players which has been the subject of media reports.

According to the reports, the players were caught making some disparaging comments about the club and without showing remorse for the club’s 1-2 loss to Sekondi Hasaacas, went further to predict doom for the club in their subsequent matches.

A statement signed by the Managing Director of the club, Gerald Ankrah, stated that ‘the club’s attention has been drawn to certain media reports regarding actions we intend to take on players identified in the “leaked” tape saga.

It denied reports that management had identified the players involved in the leaked tape and intended to take action on them.

It urged the club’s fans and sympathisers that management would be undertaking a thorough investigation into the issues and appropriate sanctions applied where necessary.

‘In the interim, however, we wish to advise our fans and supporters to disregard any media reports”.
