The Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana will on the 21st of December, 2018 host the Agribusiness Excellency and Leadership Awards 2018. At the event, the efforts and contributions of distinguished and deserving agribusinesses are expected to be honoured.
Chief Executive Officer for the Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana, Mr. Anthony Morrison in an interview with Rite FM said the awards will go a long way in boosting the business activites of potential winners.
“Getting an award or recognition boosts your client base and that client will be satisfied that their business association with you has gotten you some recognition and this will invariably encourage them to patronize your business, the result being that your business gets the needed credibility which is a big boost for your business,” he asserted.
The CEO who was full of praises for Rite FM for their distinctive qualities in agriculture development was hopeful that the station will be recognized during the awards.
“Rite FM is one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to the media,” he said. “So what I do know is that in spite of the recommendation the station has gotten, Rite FM and other media houses have been selected for the awards and the final decision lies in the committee that is working on it.”
The CEO in further expressing his admiration for Rite FM described the station as a “genius agriculture media house that is aggressively promoting, developing and finding solutions to the agriculture industry.”
Farmer Morrison explained that the awards seeks to recognize the contributions of outstanding agribusiness individuals who have excelled in the industry for the past 10-15 in various categories including packaging and processing.
The event which will take place at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra is on the theme, “Publicly Recognizing Efforts and Contribution of Distinguished and Deserving Agribusinesses”.
While the main goal behind the Award program is to help the agribusiness sector grow and prosper to market Ghana’s agribusiness sector as an investment destination for the rest of the world, the organizers are also looking towards building a thriving and booming agribusiness sector leading in entrepreneurship, investment, poverty alleviation, food and nutrition security, wealth creation and contributing to Ghana’s economic development and middle income status.
The event, according to the Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana, also aims to showcase Africa’s successful Agribusinesses, publicly recognise efforts and contributions of distinguished and deserving agribusinesses, promote and highlight the role that agribusiness entities play in the economic development of Ghana while bringing together governments, development institutions, investors, academics and private sector institutions with interest in the agriculture and agribusiness sector.
Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana noted that, Mr. Anthony Morrison in a statement observed that the Agribusiness Excellency and Leadership Award 2018 ceremony also aims to recognise the success and vitality of the Ghanaian Agribusiness sector.
This unique annual awards program has been established specifically to acknowledge, encourage and celebrate excellence amongst Ghanaian Agribusinesses by giving them the opportunity to gain valuable exposure and well-deserved recognition for their national and global expansion ambitions.
The Awards are one of the highest honours that can be bestowed to Agribusiness owners in the country.
