Inadequate Vet Officers A Threat To Livestock Production – Dr. Yelfaanibe

By Richard Dankwah:
Dr. Eugene Murat Yelfaanibe, the 1st national deputy director of the veterinary service of Ghana has described as inadequate the number of veterinary officers in the country, describing the situation as terrible.

According to Dr. Yelfaanibe, this results in lack of human resource which leaves livestock farmers facing the risk of being cut off from the services offered by the veterinary officers.

Dr. Yelfaanibe who was speaking to Rite news in reaction to a daily graphic publication under the headline ‘Ghana Lacks Adequate Vet Officers’ called on the government to lift its embargo in order to recruit more officers to come to the field and help the farmers.
