The Akateng DA basic school in the Upper Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region is appealing for help after it was left without n a proper roof.
Students and teachers of the school have been calling out to the government and civil society organisations for support.
The students now have to close classes anytime it’s about to rain
Rite FM has learnt that the school was closed down this morning following the Friday dawn rainstorm
“Just look at how water is in this classroom. This is the situation as it rain this morning,” an eye witness texted.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Hon. Felix Odjao has been accused for neglecting the school.
All effort to query the DCE on what he has been doing with regards to the construction of modern classrooms for the school proved futile as he didn’t respond to calls.
