Deputy Sports Minister Visits Black Stars In Seville-Spain

Deputy Sport Minister Vincent Oppong Asamoah paid a surprise visit to the Black Stars team to watch their last training session yesterday just before the team’s departure to Equatorial Guinea.
According to Oppong Asamoah, the sport minister Mahama Ayariga has assigned him to come and show the team the ministry’s support and prayers.
“I am very impressed by what I have seen here and hope you will translate it in the tournament and win the ultimate.”
We the ministry want to redeem our image by winning back the support of Ghanaians said Vincent Oppong Asamoah.
DAVID ACCAM- “I AM REALLY HAPPY TO BE PART OF THIS TOURNAMENT”
Ghanaian International David Accam who plies his trade in USA Chicago fire and part of the 23 men squared selected by Avram Grant to the 30th Edition of the Africa Cap of Nations, in Equatorial Guinea says he is really happy to be part of the tournament.
The Black stars team left Spain to Equatorial Guinea yesterday and arrived this morning in their camping base in Mongomo about 6: am.
According to David, this is his first tournament and he is happy to be part of it and thinks everyone is in a good shape, though they are in a difficult group, they have the qualities and if they believe in themselves they can beat every team. In other related developments, there was no training today as players need to recover from the long journey from Spain to Malabo and then Mongomo.
“WE PLAYED FOR PRIDE”-REV.OSEI KOFI
Former Black Stars player Rev.Osei Kofi says they played for pride. According to Rev. Osei Kofi in his 60’s there were no money and they were amateurs so they played for pride. “Kwame Nkrumah made us understand that the National Anthem is being played for the president and the entire people of Ghana and it is a privilege when we are selected to be part of the team” said Rev. Osei Kofi.
He further stated that Ghanaian should pray and support the Black Stars since they have admitted what happened at Brazil will not happen again.
