“BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING LANDS FROM FOREIGNERS” – KODJO NKRUMAH
CEO of Nkas Farm, Mr. Kodjo Nkrumah has urged Ghanaians to be very vigilant when buying lands from people they do not know.
According to him, he has bought a land and he is facing so many problems because another group of people have claimed to be the right owners of the land and this has led to the cutting down of his mango trees on a five acre land.
He had to involve the police to calm them down, however the case is at the court. He continued that though he is facing these problems, he believes it is part of the challenges an individual faces when doing business. He won’t also give up despite he has wasted a lot of money.
Furthermore Mr. Kodjo Nkrumah disclosed that farmers need the help of the government to solve the bacteria black spot disease. He stated that the bacteria black spot is a disease that affects mango trees making the trees not being able to produce well hereby leading them run at a loss. He however also said that most of the farmers do not go for the training they (farmers) are to be given to enable them fight the disease.
Moreover, there are a lot of mango farmers here in Somanya but most of them are not part of the Farmers Association they have. However implementation of the training on their farms is also another problem.
