ALL MY PROMISES HAVE BEEN FULFILLED – HON. PAUL ANSAH.

Former Director General for Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Hon. Paul Ansah in an interview with Rite FM Morning Rite Show Host, Austin Ofori, has made it known, that he has fulfilled all his promises with regards to the educational standards in Asuogyaman.

According to him, he has supplied mathematical sets and other examination materials for students ready for Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) and also form 1 and 2 students summing up to almost 9,000 pupils. “In Asuoghaman, school attendance and studies of school pupils isn’t encouraging at all, so I invested into their mock examination after G.E.S approached for sponsorship,” he said.

Analyzing the BECE written by students of Asuogyaman, a suburb of Eastern Region, in 2017, 63.7% passed. However, in 2018, it increased from to 73.1%, lifting the rank of Asuogyaman District in Eastern region.

Hon. Ansah also disclosed that, as part of his initiative, he has promised to buy all items on the prospectus of students who are able to meet aggregates (6-10). In 2017, only 2 students benefited from this, but in 2018, due to hard work and encouragement, 15 students benefited, he said. “Therefore, I have thrown a challenge to the students that this year, I need 50 pupils to get the proposed aggregate to be part of the scheme.

As part of improving the program, he has collaborated with the PTA of some schools and other stakeholders. As well as communication centers to help broadcast their activities.

In conclusion, he said, it’s the duty of everyone to see to the progression and development of Asuogyaman district through the school pupil.
