2015 Has Been Tough For Businesses

Mr Alister Djimatey, Public Relation Officer for famous nonalcoholic beverages company, Blue Sky situated at Nsawam in the Eastern Region said 2015 had been full of challenges which affected them in so many ways.

Speaking on the Rite Morning Ride, Mr Alister said despite this year’s challenges, they were able to excel through, adding that they were able to solve their own problems without depending on others with their own strength and effort.

He further added that the power crisis in the country adversely affected them but they tried as much as possible that it did not affect the Blue Sky family ensuring that they did not lay off workers but managed to maintain their staff.

On the other hand, he said getting the raw materials for their production had been a challenge since they depended on fruits for their production. Pineapple cultivation has not been good which necessitated the importation of the product from Togo, Benin and Ivory Coast which they used for production.

Mr. Allister added that the depreciation of the cedi to the dollar led to high inflation which resulted in the cost of raw materials going high.
