Pastor Danso of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of Ghana has in an interview with Rite news said divorce has over shadowed marriage in our various churches and homes due largely to mentality that material things come first before entering the marriage journey.
In an interview with the man of God, he said in the olden days, the backgrounds of would be marriage partners were thoroughly investigated by the families of the other potential partner before the marriage was agreed to. He said things are not so now as young people now jump into marriages solely due to the quest for material things such as cars, houses, and other properties.
He said they do all these without painstaking investigations into the source and background of the person’s wealth.
In addition, he entreated parents to as a matter of importance advice their wards on what to look out for in a partner before beginning the marriage journey with them.
