A WOMAN, in an advanced age of 82, was killed instantly when a speeding car knocked her down last Sunday.
The heartbreaking incident occurred at Oforikrom, a suburb in Kumasi, in the afternoon of July 26, this year.
The woman, identified as Efua Mansah, was said to have closed from church and was heading home when the disaster struck.
The driver of the vehicle, whose identity was not readily known, was said to have been arrested by the police to help in investigations.
The deceased was said to be already dead when she was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
Madam Efua Mansah could not disclose who her relatives were before she gave up the ghost, KATH officials told the media.
Ernest Abban of the KATH Public Relations Unit said the hospital is doing everything possible to locate the relatives of the deceased.
According to him, an ID Card of Twelve Apostles Church, bearing the name of Efua Mansah, was found on the deceased showing that she attends that church.
The KATH PR staff urged people whose family member bears the name Efua Mansah, who they haven’t seen since Sunday, to visit KATH for verification.
He said pathetically that nobody had so far visited the hospital to identify the body.
