Poultry farmers across the country will not see any significance of Friday’s Farmers Day celebrations across the country. The farmers have through their president said that they will not step foot at the Bolgatanga grounds where the celebrations will honor farmers.
In an interview with the president of the Association, Mr Victor Oppong on the Rite Morning Ride, he told Keneth Oliver that they have not been given any invitation to the celebrations, a development they consider ample proof of the government not giving them the due recognition.
According to him, this was not the first time this development was taking place and that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, MOFA has consistently denied them invitation to the Farmers Day celebration.
