Two persons arrested in Teshie for double registration

Two people have been picked up at Penny Taxi Rank polling station at Teshie, in Accra for double registration.

The two turned up at the polling station Tuesday to vote when they were exposed.

The Presiding Officer, Moses Doku immediately handed them over to the police.

Meanwhile A visit by our correspondent to some polling stations at the Mantease / Tse Addo electoral area of La Dadekotopon, revealed a low turn out at most Polling stations.

At the Bishop Lomottey Jerusalem Pentecostal Church Polling Station, out of 360 registered voters, 26 people had cast their votes as at 9:30am.

Mama Juliet Polling Station in the same electoral area with 331 registered voters saw only 11 people voting as at 10am.

Polling agents at both stations noted that voting started on time and has been smooth but blamed the low patronage on low publicity.
