TRADITIONAL AUTHORITY WARNS YOUTH OVER MISCONDUCT

Traditional authorities at Akyem Tafo have appealed to the youth of Akyem, Old Tafo to desist from their current acts of lawlessness and disturbances resulting from the death of two young men some days ago. Additionally, parents have also been urged to advise their children to desist from such unlawful acts.

Two young men who engaged in internet scams (sakawa boys), namely, Abacha and Kwame Kpotoe from the community died in an accident at Bosuso when returning from Begoro in the Fanteakwa district. According to sources, the youth of the community have since gone on the rampage and been engaging in other violent behaviours ignoring the traditions and laws of the community.

The chief of the area, Osaberima Adusei Peasah has thus expressed his worry about the actions of the youth which is getting out of hand and has therefore warned to deal with anyone one who tramples on the laws of the traditional authority.

Police investigations have also revealed that, the chief and his elders have been attacked verbally by the youth whiles some have even planned to burn down the palace and the chief’s vehicles. But the traditional authorities have warned to deal with any youth whose action cause disturbances in the community.
