Support Rite FM to Fix Problems in Your Communities – Krobea Asante

Rite News Desk:

Host of Rite FM’s Morning Ride, Krobea Asante has bemoaned the inability of programme producers or the news team of the station to follow up on stories for the desired results, attributing the challenge to lack of funds.

Mr. Asante who doubles as the Head of the Rite News Department said he finds it appalling and uncomfortable if issues bordering on the challenges confronting society are highlighted on the various platforms of the station but virtually nothing is done to address them.

‘Issues of sanitation, electricity supply, security, the markets, gutters, broken pipes, bad roads, deplorable schools, etc. have been consistently raised on the news platforms; unfortunately, there have not been concrete follow-ups owing to the lack of support from corporate organizations to support the station to function and live up to its social responsibilities,’ Mr. Asante lamented.

Citing a popular segment on the Rite Morning Ride, ‘Wopotemu te sen?’ to buttress his point, the host expressed his frustration at the inability of the team to follow up on issues that crop up on the show in order to seek their solutions.

He was however quick to add that there have nonetheless been efforts to follow-up on some developing issues such as the several challenges confronting the Asinesi community in the Upper Manya Krobo district, Deedeso in the Fanteakwa district, the Yilo State School among others.

He has therefore made a passionate appeal to the various communities and corporate organizations as well as the district assemblies to come on board and support the station to adequately follow-up on developmental issues since it would enhance the development of our districts and municipalities.
