One person is reported dead in a car crash that occurred in the afternoon of Monday, March 7, at Abono near Lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region.

The accident involved students from a Presby Junior High School at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

They were on their way to Lake Bosomtwe for a fun trip when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Reports suggest that the driver of the Metro Mass Bus transporting the students lost control of the vehicle after the brakes failed.

An eyewitness, Azeez Ummar, told Citi News the accident happened when they were descending an undulating road.
