Stay At Post Until Transfer Is Granted – GES

The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern regional office of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Acheampong Asiedu has cautioned teachers who have applied for transfer to different schools but are yet to receive approval letters from the regional Directorate to remain at their various schools until their requests are approved.

He made the call in an interview with Rite news at the launch of Rite FM’s District Education Observer Project (DEOP) II at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral in Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.

Mr. Asiedu explained that government’s policy for Free Basic School education started over the years but the current government aside the introduction of free SHS has increased the Capitation Grants to the Basic Schools into double folds to cater for some needs of the schools.
