Sivasspor sign Ghana defender Boye

News gathered by Rite Sports indicates that, Turkish side Sivasspor have announced the signing of Ghana defender John Boye on a two-year plus an additional one-year deal.

The 28-year-old centre-back will remain in the Turkish top-flight after making 22 appearances and scoring two goals for relegated Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Sivasspor finished 14th last term but made a bright start to their new campaign with a 2-2 draw at Galatasaray.

Boye was linked with fellow Super Ligue side Rizespor who had early this month held talks with the Ghana international.

He came close to signing for Ajaccio but the French club could not reach an agreement with Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Boye has previously played for Rennes in the Ligue before moving to Turkey last season.

He played for Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
