Shea nut farmers in the country have something to smile about. The farmers are very happy about how their businesses are improving because of the involvement of the private enterprises.
In an interview with Alhaji Alhassan Yakubu, a shea nut farmer in the Northern Region on the Rite Morning Ride, he said their farming activities were moving on smoothly due to the involvement of the government and private enterprises and this has prevented traders from cheating the farmer in their various farms.
But he laments that despite all the profit they are enjoying they also have some challenges such as transporting the shea nut from their farms to the market centers which come very expensive.
