Rite FM Receives Citation for Winning ‘Best Rural Radio Station Of the Year’ Award

Rite FM has once again been honoured for its innovative work in the radio industry when it was bestowed with a citation for its exemplary commitment, dedication and professionalism from Leyla Images.

The citation was in recognition of the station winning the Ghana Journalists Association’s ‘Best Rural Radio Station of the Year’ award.

For the umpteenth time, Rite FM was honored with the prestigious and coveted national award, the reason for which Leyla Images presented a citation to the station.

CEO of the full image concept managers, Leyla images, Mr. Emmanuel Tetteh presented the citation to Rite FM after the station was crowned the Best Rural Radio Station of the year by the GJA in December, 2017.

The citation reads; “We congratulate you for winning the Best Rural Radio Station Award by the Ghana Journalist Association. We believe you truly earned it through your hard work. It is because of this that we say AYEKOOOOOO”. We hope to see you earning more awards in the years ahead.

Leyla Images basically uses their resources to manage the Krobo community online when it comes to imaging through the use of images to project Kroboland in all it can do to help in the areas by capturing the community’s problems with cameras.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the firm, Mr. Emmanuel Tetteh described the award as remarkable, saying he was touched when he heard the news.

“I was touched the very moment I saw the national award that Rite FM was bringing something remarkable to Kroboland,” he said.

He appreciated the “maximum effort” put in place by the station, and also acknowledged the station’s role as a pacesetter in the development of agriculture.

“Rite FM is also working hard in the agriculture business and we as a corporate body find it more vital to honor the station for its good works. We are much grateful and also appreciate the maximum effort you have put in place to win this award,” the CEO also known as King Leyla said.

The station on December 13, 2017 chalked another milestone when it received its latest award; this time, from the Ghana Journalists Association at the 22nd Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) awards ceremony.

The station was adjudged the ‘Best Rural Radio Station of the year’ at the prestigious Ghana Journalists Association awards held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.

The Awards which has been running for the past twenty-two years is organized by the umbrella body of Ghana’s journalists, the GJA.

A total of 35 journalists from television, radio, print and online media were recognized for their hard work in producing compelling stories in 2016.

This is not the first time the station is winning an award as it has won similar awards in the past. Rite FM has won consecutive awards over the past years from the district, regional to the National Best Radio Station for Agricultural Education and Rural Development.

The station won an award for the best reporter for reporting cocoa affairs from Cocobod in 2013 and in 2014 won the SMEGA best radio station for community business reportage.
