The long awaited 2nd Edition of RAF 2017 has come to a successful end with high hopes for farmers, as they came to learn innovative ways and modern technology to improve their work some of which included new ways in reducing post-harvest losses, prolonging the shelve life of produce, better ways of fertilizer application and a lot more all of which, have been a huge problem for most farmers over the years.
The program which brought many dignitaries of high profile (some who were in themselves farmers), to the forum for a round table discussion certainly motivated many of the small scale farmers who attended the event. Dignitaries who attended included:

Other speakers on the day included, Miss Hilda Huadji, Lower Manya Krobo Agric Dept. who doubles as Head of Women in Agricultural Development, Agric Directors from Lower Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, Asougyaman and Shai Osudoku.
In all, a number of stakeholders from the sector including leaders of Farmer-Based Organizations, (FBOs), business-minded farmers, the youth in agriculture, agriculture processors, investors, Agri-preneurs, Research institutions among others partook in the day’s event.
The small scale farmers used the opportunity to make enquiries from the exhibition center, a center purposely mounted for farmers at the event. Companies who exhibited included YARA GH, Interplast GH, MG Farms, Ghalani, RMG Ghana, Fair fax, HPW, Dizengoff GH, Agriseed, Wynca Sunshine, VEPEAG, MagriDan, GAEC and Gratis Foundation
The program was organized by FMSL Multimedia’s Rite 90.1 FM with sponsorship from, YARA GHANA, GIPC, ENSIGN COLLEGE, COMSYS, BLUE SKIES, SURF PUBLICATIONS, CITI FM, CTA ENGINEERING LIMITED and many others.
