Rite 90.1 FM Maasi Project To Validates Baseline Survey Today

The project department of Rite 90.1 fm on the Mobilizing Action Towards Agricultural Sector Improvement (MAASI) Project, a USAID funded project, is in a meeting with stake holders of the project to validate a draft report of a base line survey at the Methodist Church Conference room in Somanya.

As part of the measures to determine the nature of present agricultural situations in the six MAASI project districts, Rite FM in consultation with Socioserve Ghana, a civil society organization, has conducted a baseline survey. The necessity of ensuring that findings of the survey made are true called for this important meeting.

The meeting is expected to host District coordinating Directors, Budget Officers, Finance directors all from the central administration, the directors of Agriculture, Head of Extension, and Head of Women in Agriculture Unit, all from the department of Agriculture, selected assembly members and selected leaders of some Farmer Based Organizations (FBOs), all from the six project districts.

The draft report after presentation by the researchers, Socioserve Ghana will be subjected to strategic examinations by the sitting where corrections will be made to enable Rite FM and USAID take it as a working document. The report will be shared by Rite FM on their website (www.ritefmonline.org) and copied to the participants via email.

This according to the project coordinator Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah is part of the project activities that would make known to stake holders the real situations in the agricultural sector and to together push for an improvement in resource allocation for agriculture in the project zones.
