Rice farmers call on president to fulfill his promise

The former President of Osudoku Co-Operative Society Mr. Gideon Martey has called on President John Dramani Mahama deliver on his promise of providing a rice processing plant to the farmers at Asutuare.

According to Mr. Martey the president made the promise in his state of the nation’s address last year which he said is to help boost rice cultivation in the area.

Speaking to Rite News, Mr. Martey said, they have not seen any effort being made by the government and therefore appealed to the government to provide the processing plant because it will help expand the rice cultivation and also create employment in the area.
