RAF 2016 Expectations Were Largely Met – Dr. Apotey

Branch Manager Of Upper Manya Klo Rural Bank in Somanya and headline sponsors of the recently held Rite Agro-forum, (RAF), Dr. Apotey Gabriel Odeh has expressed satisfaction at the recently held Rite Agri-Forum in Somanya in the Yilo Krobo district of the Eastern region.

Dr. Apotey who was speaking to Rite news on the sidelines of the forum noted that he was highly impressed with the practical nature of the forum. According to him, the event was of high practical nature which was of great relevance to the farmers, stakeholders and participants who partook in the one day workshop.

‘Our expectations were to meet productive customers whom we can interact with and to see how best they can also improve on their productivity to help the nation,’ Mr. Apotey asserted. He opined that farmers who attended the Rite Agri Forum did not lose at all since the practical aspect of the whole event was met which in the end introduced them to another era of farming.

Dr. Apotey therefore encouraged Rite FM and its parent body, FMSL multimedia to ensure that future forums like this one are held since farmers are always expect to be educated on the new farming trends taking place globally.

He added that the inclusion of financial institutions like the Upper Manya Klo Rural Bank was a step in the right direction.

The Upper Manya Klo Rural Bank Manager however urged the station to put in place measures to meet the other expectations of the farmers which he noted were access to funding and also how to get farm inputs for their farming activities.

He was hopeful that making available the farm inputs through NGOs and other organizations could leave farmers relieved that aside the financial institutions, there are other stakeholders who are ready to support them with inputs.
