Pozo Hayes Backs Calls For a Creative Arts Ministry.

Ghanaian Highlife Musician, Nana Boakye Ofori Atta, a.k.a  Pozo Hayes has sharply agreed with opinions shared by Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei that a creative art ministry be carved out of the ministry of tourism and creative arts.

His concerns arise out of what he terms as the government’s neglect of the sector, insisting that the two industries be separated from each other.

Pozo Hayes made this comments in an interview with PAPA ATTITUDE on the Rite Chart Show.

Pozo Hayes’ assertions come in the wake of similar sentiments expressed over the weekend by renowned Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei that “both past and current Governments are not supporting the creative art industry because they don’t respect it”.

According to the actor, government administrations for some years now have not done much for the sector because they simply have no respect for the industry.

Prince David Osei was doubtful that there is a welcoming atmosphere or platform on which stakeholders like him could air their grievances and concerns to Madam Catherine Afeku, the sector minister.

And Pozo Hayes sharing the same idea with Prince David Osei, saying they don’t see anything from the Minister for Tourism and Creative Arts. Due to this, he suggested that the creative arts industry should have a minister on its own.

“…..i think we should a minister for creative art alone, because the minister is putting more effort in the tourism aspect due to the fact that the tourism industry is one source of income for the country…..,” he opined.
