Controversial Hiplife artiste Kwame Asare Obeng known in showbiz as A Plus is alleging that police and judges in the country smoke Indian hemp yet, are on the heels of others who consume the contraband product.
The politically incorrect artist on his Facebook page observed that cigarette smoking and alcohol have been declared legal despite the health implications as compared to ‘wee’ which has medicinal properties.
He also alleged that cannabis is the cash cow of politicians and some very powerful people in society who openly criticize its use but behind the scenes see it as money making venture.
“Some of the police and judges who arrest people and destroy families by jailing them smoke it. People are free to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol even though it has serious health implications. The politician and some very powerful people make money from it (alcohol and cigarettes) so they say use it even though it kills you. How on earth can alcohol and cigarettes be legal but declare the herb illegal”, he said.
He wondered why cigarette is legalized and cannabis is not, therefore advocating for a regulation to also ban cigarette and alcohol consumption in the country.

So many people have gone to jail for boiling leaves and drinking it. Why? Because the politicians who smoke it claim it is illegal. Some of the police and judges who arrest people and destroy families by jailing them smoke it. People are free to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol even though it has serious health implications. How on earth can alcohol and cigarettes be legal but declare the herb illigal? I think it must be the other way round.
There are some highly medicinal plants that grow in my backyard. Sometimes I weed them but they grow again. I didn’t plant it. God put it there. It includes Taraxacum aka dandelion, Amaranthus spinosus, Acanthospermum hispidum, Solanum lycopersicum, Cannabis sativa etc. How can you arrest people just because a plant is growing in their house? I don’t smoke. I chose which one I want to boil and drink every morning. It makes me feel good. It’s healthy. I don’t see anything wrong with it. I love my herbs….. ?#?TheLawIsBlind ?#?TheLawIsCrazy
