Our Certificates Should Be Released In No-Time–Nettey Jonathan Okai
Mr. Nettey Jonathan Okai who came out as the overall best student among 103 graduands of the Untrained Teachers Diploma in Basic Education (UTDBE) at Mount Mary College of Education in the Eastern Region-Somanya, has made a clarion call on the Institute of Education of the University of Cape Coast to promptly release their certificates for upgrading.
The overall best student who doubled as the SRC president in a farewell speech read on behalf of his colleagues at the 2nd congregation of UTDBE expressed grave concern about the undue delay of their certificates.
“We are still considered untrained teachers after 14 good months of our successful completion, the IPP section of the Ghana Education Service has continuously and consistently demand our certificates before we get upgraded for the appropriate rank and salary level.”
He again noted that, the pass list of some colleagues has still not been released. He therefore, as a matter of urgency appealed to the Institute of Education to release the the remaining pass lists.
Mr. Nettey, as part of his valedictory speech, congratulated his fellow graduands for having successfully completed their respective courses.
